a grinder is teeth and a thread. what separates the brands is the metal, the teeth and the small stuff: the screen, the magnet, and whether you can replace the parts.
- Elements and RAW come from HBI, the same company as the papers.
- Head Chef is a UK brand.
- Herb Saver is a grinder and a storage pot in one.

reading the size
| size | what it's like |
|---|---|
| 50mm and under | pocket size. small amounts. |
| 55 to 56mm | the common middle. |
| 60mm and up | more room, more weight. |
the mm is the width. it's the diameter of the grinder, not the height. a 4-piece and a 2-piece of the same mm fit the same hand.
the short of it
Elements or RAW for solid aluminium from the paper people. Head Chef for a UK brand. Herb Saver if you want storage built in. Flower Mill if you'd rather have a mill plate than teeth.
